If you were told you were too loud, too sensitive, too much — or just never felt like you belonged — you're in the right place.
Welcome to Unmask Your Mind, the podcast for neurodivergent people who are done pretending, done shrinking, and ready to understand themselves on their own terms.
I'm Annie Sousa — therapist, mental health advocate, and AuDHDer. I didn't get my ADHD diagnosis until my 20s or my Autism diagnosis until my 40s. In between, I survived domestic violence, rebuilt my life as a single mom of two neurodivergent kids, and spent years learning how to stop masking and start living. I don't just understand this journey professionally. I live it.
This is a no B.S. space. No toxic positivity. No one here is going to tell you to think your way out of a dysregulated nervous system or suggest you just need more gratitude. What you'll get instead is real talk — honest, evidence-based, and grounded in actual lived experience.
Every episode goes deep on what actually matters: ADHD, AUDHD, ASD, CPTSD, trauma, nervous system regulation, masking, emotional dysregulation, and what genuine healing looks like. We bust harmful myths about neurodivergence, challenge the systems that made you feel broken, and replace shame with understanding. The tools I share are ones that work in real life — not just in theory.
Whether you're newly diagnosed, raising neurodivergent kids, supporting ND clients, or just finally starting to understand why you've always felt different — this show meets you exactly where you are.
You are not broken. You never needed to be fixed. You needed to be understood.
Hit subscribe and join me every week. You don't have to navigate this alone.
